About

Hello, my name is Kim.

I am not your typical writer. I don’t have to write, in fact, I can go months or even years without writing a word. What I do love to do is bring hope to the tired and weary.

Life has given me lots of interesting experiences. As an only child, I accompanied my parents in their mission to help young African Americans during the turbulent race riots in Chicago. As I grew older, their next calling was to help provide excellent Christian entertainment and art, and once again, I travelled along. As an adult I’ve worked for churches, homeschooled my three children through high school and to found myself in nonprofit management.

I’ve experienced the turmoil of two divorces. No one was more surprised than me to find myself in that situation. Twice. Because I love my children, I only talk about the details of these breakups with others one on one. Recently, I have done the most radical and risky thing I have ever done…I moved 700 miles from my suburban Chicago home and everything familiar to me and relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma. I am working on a brand-new blog series called “Becoming Tulsan” which will chronicle this journey. I am also writing a book about her adventures in following Jesus. Please pray that I actually finish it!
