Hi.

Welcome to my website. I hope that by the time you’re done here that you are feeling ready to face the world! I’ll share more about my failures and fears than I will my successes and courage, because we all need to remember that we’re not alone. So sit back, relax and maybe even laugh and learn a little from my journey!

I Recorded My First Podcast!

I Recorded My First Podcast!

Recording my first podcast with Christian Circle Podcast

A long time ago, I used to be a freelance writer. I had a semi-successful blog, and I wrote about family on a denominational website. It wasn’t even a denomination that I had ever been a part of, but a sweet friend recommended that I give it a try. I ended up writing almost 100 articles with them and learned so much along the way. Sometimes I don’t like to be reminded of those days. I thought my life was mapped out very differently than the path I currently find myself on. I often feel humbled to have written so much on family when things have turned out so differently than I expected when I wrote all of those articles.

Last week, I received an intriguing email. A beautiful podcast host named Pamela Fernandes reached out to me about an article I had written 10 years ago. The article was entitled, Parenting Lessons From Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Through a series of emails, she invited me to be her guest on her monthly podcast called Christian Circle Podcast. Again, someone from outside of my denominational norm reached out to include me in their audience to share what God has put in my heart. What a gift!

Pamela is a kind and gentle soul…and the thing that most impressed me about her is her humility. She’s an author of several books and is a medical doctor. I knew most of that by doing a little research, not from her own lips. I love that she had intercessors praying while we were recording. You could definitely feel the presence of the Holy Spirit throughout the whole process. It was my first podcast, so I was a little nervous, but she made me feel very comfortable.

I am struck by the fact that something I wrote so long ago is still affecting people I’ve never met in places I’ve never been. That is such an encouragement to me. I am blown away that anything that I’ve said or written is something stood the test of time. In the end, I felt like I had gained a friend, enjoyed recording my first podcast, and felt like my words haven’t gone into the abyss.
